This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking anticipatory bail apprehending arrest for the offences under Sections 294(b), 323, 342, 338 and 506(2). The FIR has been registered in Crime No.243 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police.

2. From the FIR it is seen that the offences alleged relate to election that had taken place on 18.04.2019. Considering the fact that the elections are over and the overt acts alleged against the petitioners are not very serious in nature, I am of the opinion that the petitioners are entitled to grant of anticipatory bail.

3. In view of the above, this petition is allowed and the petitioners are ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on their appearance, within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of the order, before the learned Judicial Magistrate Melur, on condition that the petitioners shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) each with two sureties http://www.judis.nic.in
