Mr.K.M.D. Muhilan, Additional Public Prosecutor for R1 in all cases Ms.Ramya Bharathi for Ms.B.Rathika for R2 in Crl.O.P.No.5480 of 2024 COMMON ORDER When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent/State submitted that the accused had filed Crl.O.P.No.5480 of 2024 seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.13 of 2023 on the file of the 1st respondent police, in which this Court, by an interim order dated 06.03.2024, directed the respondent police not to file the final report. On the very same day, the de facto complainant also had filed Crl.O.P.No.5361 of 2024 seeking a direction to complete the investigation

and to file the final report and this Court directed the respondent to complete the investigation and to file final report. Thus, two different orders have been passed by this Court in respect of the same case. Subsequently, when the matters were directed to be listed under the caption "for being mentioned", this Court, by order dated 18.03.2024, directed the respondent police to keep the final report in abeyance. While so, without proper communication, the respondent had filed the final report before the jurisdictional Court and it was taken on file in C.C.No.60 of 2024 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Arni.

2.While so, the petitioners have entered into a compromise, pursuant to which, two persons, viz., Poonguzhali and Sampath have filed Crl.O.P.Nos.25320 of 2025 and one Prabhu and the petitioners have filed Crl.O.P.No.31775 of 2025 seeking to quash the entire proceedings in C.C.No.60 of 2024 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Arni, and this Court by order dated 25.01.2025, has quashed the entire proceedings and hence, nothing survives for further adjudication in these matters. 3.Ms.Ramya Bharathi, learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent in Crl.O.P.No.5480 of 2024 admitted that all these matters have been compromised between the parties, pursuant to which, the entire proceedings had been quashed by this Court.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5.Due to certain miscommunication, the respondent has filed the final report, in spite of this Court directing the final report to be kept in abeyance. Hence, Contempt Petition No.3331 of 2024 has been filed. Since this Court has now come to know that by order dated 25.01.2025 in Crl.O.P.Nos.25320 of 2025 and Crl.O.P.No.31775 of 2025, the entire proceedings in C.C.No.60 of 2024 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Arni, have been quashed, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose will be served by keeping this Contempt Petition pending. Hence, this Contempt Petition is closed. Further, in view of subsequent development, Crl.O.P.No.5480 of 2024 stands dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
