O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition for direction to the respondents to issue necessary permission for collection of tax/cess on the passing vehicles carrying sand from the sand quarries for the purpose of proper maintenance of public roads at Poondi.

2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the present Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner when she was "President of Poondi Panchayat" and now the special officer has been appointed for the Panchayat. Therefore, the petitioner has no local standi for asking the above relief.

3.In view of the above, the present Writ Petition is dismissed. No cost.
