When the matter is taken up for hearing, both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the present Writ Petition has been filed challenging the notification dated 16.03.2022. As per the order of this Court dated 31.03.2022, the election was conducted on 02.04.2022 and the result is not yet announced. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is not pressing the Writ Petition and a direction may be issued to the Election Officer to count the votes and publish the results. 2.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, no further order is necessary and the Writ Petition stands closed. It is open to the 3rd respondent to follow the procedure and announce the result. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
