Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 08.04.2015 and consequently, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to initiate proceedings against the third respondent for the unauthorised construction in Plot No.3-A in Balaji Nagar, Kolathur Post, Chennai 600 099.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by SATISH K. AGNIHOTRI, J.) Ms. Karthikaa Ashok, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice for the first respondent. Mr. K. Raja Shrinivas, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice for the second respondent. With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself. Pursuant to the petitioner's representations dated 17.01.2015 and 11.02.2015, the Chennai Corporation has already initiated action against the erring respondent, viz., respondent no.3, by issuing notice on 03.03.2015.

Since action has already been initiated by the authorities pursuant to the petitioner's aforestated representations, we are not inclined to issue any direction to the official respondents, as sought by the petitioner, at this stage. However, we expect that further action in the matter will be taken by the official respondents on merits and in accordance with law, within the statutory period to take it to its logical conclusion. 4.

The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observations. Costs made easy.
