When the Criminal Appeal came up for hearing on 30.11.2023, the learned Counsel for the Respondent submitted that the Sole Accused in 1/4
this case had died. Therefore, this Court had sought remarks from the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Attur regarding the clarification of the same.
2. Today, 22.12.2023, the Registry has placed the report of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Attur in letter in D.No.818 of 2023 dated 20.12.2023 before this Court.
3. As per the report of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Attur, through the S.H.O of the Police Station concerned, the Accused in S.T.C.No.22 of 2014, Ramu S/o. Loganatha Pillai, residing in Door No.34, Pavadi St, Kallanatham - 636 141, Attur Taluk, Salem District, died on 16.05.2023.
