ORDER

The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to sanction the educational loan to the petitioner within a reasonable time as fixed by this Court.

2.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has approached the respondents Bank for his son's educational loan. Though he has furnished required documents, the respondents have not chosen to sanction the loan so far. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.Though the learned counsel appearing for the respondents has filed counter affidavit, on instructions, he submitted that the documents furnished by the petitioner would be considered on merits and the claim for sanctioning loan will be approved within a time stipulated by this Court.

4.Recording the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respondents, the respondents are directed to consider the claim of the petitioner for sanctioning the educational loan, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. 5.Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
