ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by The Chief Justice) The petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chengalpattu to take on file, number and dispose of the application filed under

Section 14 of the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 presented on 11.11.2025 through the e-courts online filing system bearing ATN20220011486C202500869 within a time frame to be fixed by this court.

2. Recently, by order dated 05.06.2026 in W.P.No.16489 of 2026, this court has issued a slew of directions to the Magistrates concerned to number the Applications filed under Section 14 with a direction to decide the same forthwith.

3. In the present case, the Chief Judicial Magistrate, vide note dated 01.04.2026, had reported that the application was found with certain defects and objections were raised and thereafter, the Application was not re-presented.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the application has already been re-presented and in spite of that, the application has not been numbered and decided.

5. In view of the same, this writ petition is disposed of in terms of the directions given in W.P.No.16489 of 2026 and the Chief Judicial Magistrate is directed to take up the application and dispose of the same.
