The Commissioner of Police (Goonda Section), Vepery, Chennai - 600 007, the second respondent herein and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenue before this Court and set the detenue Thiru Joseph Deva Kumar, S/o.Easa aged about 30 years, now confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, at liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.) Petitioner, the detenu herein, viz., Thiru Joseph Deva Kumar, S/o.Easa aged about 30 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent B.C.D.F.G.I.S.S.S.V. No.605/2017 dated 28.09.2017 against branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the husband of the petitioner herein dated 28.09.2017, has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.5863, Home, Prohibition & Excise [XIII] Department dated 12.12.2017 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
