Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.11.2014 for One Time Settlement in respect of MTL A/c. No.978103594, Soc A/c No.973330419 and thereby, permit the petitioner to pay the entire outstanding amount on One Time Settlement after waiving the total interest and the penal interest on the loan a/c.

ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the instant writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent bank to consider her representation dated 29.11.2014 for One Time Settlement. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and also perused the pleadings and documents thereto. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
On a perusal of the materials available on record, it transpires that the dispute with regard to the recovery of outstanding amount is pending consideration before the Debts Recovery Tribunal-I, Chennai (for short "the Tribunal") and as such, the petitioner is competent to make a similar request in the Original Application pending on the file of the Tribunal. Thus, we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition, at this stage. However, if such a request is made before the Tribunal, the Tribunal is advised to consider and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law.
The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observation. Costs made easy.
