This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner by considering his representation dated 12.02.2020, to conduct the religious festival and performance of "Urs Festival" and other religious ceremonies to be held between 15.03.2020 to 17.03.2020.

Heard Mr.B.Vijay, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents 1 and 2.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to conduct enquiry on the representation made by the petitioner dated 12.02.2020 after issuance of notice to the third respondent and after giving opportunity of hearing to the third respondent and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
