This application in A.No.1101 of 2026 in O.P.No.633 of 2025 has been filed by the petitioner seeking permission to have the neurologist who examined his mother, Mrs. Rajakumari Pasupathi, tender his evidence through video conferencing in the above Original Petition.

The petitioner states that the main O.P. has been filed under Clause 17 of the Letters Patent seeking appointment of guardian for his mother, who is suffering from mental illness, and that the treating neurologist, Dr. S. Balasubramaniam of Prasanth Hospital, who issued the medical certificate regarding her condition, is required to depose. It is further stated that, owing to his professional commitments as a consultant neurologist attending to patients, his physical presence before Court may not be readily secured. 4.

Considering the affidavit and the submissions made, this Court is satisfied that the request is only to facilitate recording of the evidence of the doctor and therefore, the petitioner can be permitted recording of evidence through video conferencing subject to compliance with the Madras High Court Video Conferencing Rules, 2020 5.

Accordingly A.No.1101 of 2026 is allowed. The petitioner is permitted to have Dr. S. Balasubramaniam, Neurologist, tender his evidence through video conferencing in O.P.No.633 of 2025, in accordance with the Madras High Court Video Conferencing Rules, 2020.
