ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondent not to reject the selection of the petitioner (Register No.0107002192) for the appointment to the post of Group II and Group II A and grant time for one month to produce the fresh Community Certificate to the respondent as C.Vanitha, D/o.V.Chandran instead of C.Vanitha, W/o K.Govindan.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. As per the notification issued by the respondent dated 23.02.2022 under Notification No.3/2022, thereby calling for applications for various posts included in Combined Civil Service Examinations-II (Group II and Group IIA services), the petitioner had applied for the same and she was called to appear for the preliminary examination. She had qualified in the preliminary examination and as well as in the main examination. Now, certificate verification is under

progress. As per the notification, the community certificate issued with her husband's name will not be accepted and the candidature itself is liable for rejection. The petitioner had obtained the community certificate only after her marriage and same was issued with her husband's name instead of her father's name. Therefore, now, the petitioner had applied for community certificate before the revenue authorities with her father's name and it is pending.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that if the petitioner submits a declaration declaring that she will produce the community certificate with her father's name, within a stipulated time, it will be considered and her candidature will not be rejected.

5. In view of the above submission, the petitioner is directed to submit her declaration declaring that she will produce the community certificate with her father's name, within a period of thirty days from today, before the respondent, either by physical/online mode. On receipt

of the same, the respondent is directed to consider the same and give thirty days time for production of community certificate of the petitioner with her father's name.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
