(Order of the Court was made by P.VELMURUGAN, J.) This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2026 seeking to grant parole to the petitioner's mother namely G.Malika, wife of S.K.Ganesan (Convict No.FCT -1110) for a period of 30 days without escort now confined at Special Prison for Women, Coimbatore for the purpose of attending the baby shower function of his wife, scheduled on 22.02.2026 (yesterday) at No.47/3, Roja Nagar, Kanji Kovil Road, Perundurai.

2. It is seen that the baby shower function, for which the leave was sought for is already over. Hence, this petition has become infructuous.

3. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that since the petitioner's mother/convict prisoner could not attend the baby shower function, they have postponed the function.

4. In case the function is postponed, the petitioner is directed to give a fresh representation and on such representation, the respondents are directed to consider the same on merits and pass orders in accordance with law within a reasonable time and without any delay.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition (Criminal) is disposed of.
