ORDER

This Court, while disposing of the writ petition in W.P.No.14316 of 2016, by order dated 18.04.2016, directed the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.01.2016 and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within six weeks.

petitioner alleging non-compliance of the said order passed by this Court.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the order of this Court has been complied with by the respondent and he has also produced a copy of the order passed by the respondent dated 25.10.2016, rejecting the claim made by the petitioner.

4.Since the order of this Court has been complied with by the respondent, nothing survives in this contempt petition and accordingly, the same is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the order passed by the respondent in the manner known to law, if he so desires.
