Prayer:Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the order dated 24.06.2021 issued by the 1st respondent in proceedings No.CIX-8/2021-Min-DA2(SCT-2021) vide which the petitioner has been ordered to transfer from 77 Battalion, CRPF Poonamalle to Group Centre, CRPF, Bhubaneswar and quash the same as far as petitioner

concerned and post her to any offices/establishments of CRPF located at Chennai or retain her in the same Battalion, 77 Battalion, CRPF, Poonamalle, Chennai-56 for one more tenure. For Petitioner : Ms.R.Meenakshi For Respondents: Mr.N.Ramesh Central Government Counsel

By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The case of the petitioner in brief:

While the petitioner was working in 77 Battalion, CRPF at Poonamallee, she has been transferred to Group Centre, Bhubaneswar (Odisha) by the 1st respondent vide order dated 24.06.2021. Hence, she made a representation against the transfer requesting to post her in RTC Avadi or in any Chennai based offices and personal audience of the 1st respondent. The 5th respondent forwarded her representation with recommendation to the 1st respondent and based on the recommendation, on 13.09.2021, the 1st respondent has granted retention for 6 months and the same is due to expire on 01.04.2022. The petitioner made further request to the 1st respondent to continue her service in 77 Battalion, CRPF at Poonamallee. The 5th respondent forwarded her representation with recommendation to the 3rd respondent on 28.02.2022, to consider the request of the petitioner on compassionate grounds. The said representation is still pending before the 3rd respondent. Hence, the instant writ petition is filed before this Court.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner made a submission before this Court that till such order is passed, the petitioner shall be retained in the present station. 4.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the said proposal is pending before the 2nd respondent and the same will be considered on merits and pass appropriate orders within a specified time.

5.In view of the aforesaid submission and without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court is inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's request as expeditiously as possible, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till such time, the petitioner shall continue in the present station.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
