JUDGMENT

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.M.Velmurugan, learned counsel for the appellant; Mr.Silambannan, learned Additional Advocate-General for respondents 1 to 4 & 6 and Mr.Abishek Murthy, learned counsel for the fifth respondent.

2. The learned Additional Advocate-General, on instructions, submits that the market rate of the year 2018 will be taken into consideration and the amount will be calculated 2.25 times more, and the compensation amount would be paid accordingly, preferably within three months.

3. In view of the aforesaid statement, the grievance of the appellant that the respondent has taken into consideration market rate of 2022 for calculating compensation does not survive. The writ appeal is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.)
