Heard.

2. This Transfer Civil Miscellaneous Petition is filed under Section 24 of the Code of Civil Procedure seeking transfer of H.M.O.P. No.222 of 2024 from the file of the Subordinate Court, Tirupattur, to the file of the Subordinate Court, Ranipet.

3. The petitioner is the wife. The minor child, aged about 8 years, is in the custody of the petitioner/mother. The petitioner is residing at Ranipet and has also initiated maintenance proceedings. In the said circumstances, the petitioner seeks transfer of the divorce proceedings instituted by the respondent/husband in H.M.O.P. No.222 of 2024.

4. Though the name of the respondent is printed in the cause list, there is no representation on behalf of the respondent.

5. Considering the attending circumstances, particularly the convenience of the wife and the welfare of the minor child, this Court is inclined to order transfer. 2/4

6. Accordingly, Tr.C.M.P. No.242 of 2025 is allowed and H.M.O.P. No.222 of 2024 on the file of the Subordinate Court, Tirupattur is withdrawn and transferred to the file of the Subordinate Court, Ranipet. The Subordinate Court, Tirupattur is directed to transmit the records forthwith to the Subordinate Court, Ranipet. The Subordinate Court, Ranipet shall take up the matter and proceed in accordance with law, after due notice to both sides.
