O R D E R

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 21.10.2013 seeking for transfer of patta on merits.

2.Mr.B.Divakaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given his representation seeking for transfer of patta on 21.10.2013, the respondent has not passed any order so far.

3.Ms.A.Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that there are rival claimants in respect of the land in question, hence, the respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.10.2013 and pass orders, after giving notice to all the interested parties within a time frame. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.10.2013 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the interested parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
