PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the 2nd Respondent Police herein to issue non traceable certificate in respect of the Documents Viz., Original Sale Deed in Document No.1956/1994 dated 18.04.1994 on the file of the Sub Registrar office, Avinashi within the time period fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd Respondent Police herein to issue non traceable certificate to the petitioner in respect of the Documents Viz., Original Sale Deed in Document No.1956/1994 dated 18.04.1994 on the file of the Sub Registrar office, Avinashi. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had lost her Original Sale Deed in Document No.1956/1994 dated 18.04.1994 on the file of the Sub Registrar office, Avinashi. Hence, she preferred a complaint on 15.12.2022 and 19.01.2023 before the respondent police.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the Director General of Police issued a Circular Memorandum in Rc.No.2029209/General.1(1)/2022 dated 01.04.2022 with regard to the procedure to be followed for the issuance of Non Traceable Certificate. He further submitted that if the petitioner gives the representation following the instructions given in the Circular Memorandum, necessary action would be taken.

4. Recording the same, this Court directs the petitioner to give fresh representation based on the instructions given in the Circular Memorandum Rc.No.2029209/General.1(1)/2022 dated 01.04.2022. On receiving such representation, the respondent Police is directed to dispose of the representation within a period of four weeks thereafter.
