Respondents Prayer: This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the entire records connected with the order of the second respondent herein in Memo No.01/BCDFGISSSV/2025 dated 05.01.2025 passed against the petitioner's son Detenu namely Gnanasekar S/o.Dhamodharan aged about 37 years, as a "SEXUAL OFFENDER", who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai and set aside the same and consequently to direct the respondents herein to produce the detenu, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submitted that the ground case in Cr.No.03 of 2024, has been tried in S.C.No.138 of 2025 and the detenu/accused Gnanasekar, S/o.Dhamodharan, Male, aged 37 years, was convicted vide judgement dated 02.06.2025 by the learned Sessions Judge, (FAC) Special Court for exclusive trial of Cases under POCSO Act, Chennai and produced copy of the judgment. In view of the above submissions, the detention order No.01/BCDFGISSSV/2025 dated 05.01.2025 passed against the petitioner's son Detenu namely Gnanasekar S/o.Dhamodharan aged about 37 years, as a "SEXUAL OFFENDER", is hereby set aside.
