ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to include the petitioner's Journal Ayidha Ezhuthu in the UGC Care List.

2.The 2nd respondent has filed a counter affidavit and it is stated that the 2nd respondent received confidential comments from the evaluation made by the external expert and took a decision not to recommend the inclusion of the petitioner's journal in the UGC Care List.

3.It is not necessary for this Court to go into the issue raised in the present writ petition since the UGC in the 584th meeting held on 03.10.2024, based on the recommendations of the expert committee, has decided to discontinue UGC-Care Listing of Journals.

4.In the light of the above development, no further orders can be passed in this writ petition and this writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
