The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking for interest amount if there is any delay in passing the award in respect of the land acquisition proceedings.
2. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submits that two awards namely No. 3/99, dated 03.02.1999 and No.8/1999, dated 01.03.1999 have been passed in favour of the petitioner and subsequent to the said award, the Special Tahsildar (ADW), Ponneri Division has deposited the compensation amount. A Copy of the letter dated 17.01.2014 sent by the Land Acquisition Officer to the learned Government Advocate is also placed before this court and the same is also handed over to the learned counsel for the petitioner by the learned Government Advocate.
