Mr.M.Elumalai, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2. The petitioner Educational Trust intended to commence a new College under the name and style of Kalaivani College of Arts and Science at Kallakurichi and they have also applied for building plan approval through online to the 1st respondent on 24.11.2020. But the said application has not been processed so far the same. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application submitted for grant of building plan approval within a stipulated time.

3. Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that even though necessary fees which is required for online application was duly paid on 19.01.2021 through Kallakurichi Treasury, the application of the petitioner was not processed by the respondents so far.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, directs the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application, submitted through on line on 24.11.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
