ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the V Additional Family Court, Chennai to expedite the proceedings pending in Crl.M.P.No.519 of 2019 in M.C.No. 481 of 2018 for more than 4 years and to dispose the same.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner filed 1/3

Crl.M.P.No.519 of 2019 in M.C.No. 481 of 2018 on the file of V Additional Family Court, Chennai for grant of interim maintenance. Counter was filed in this petition, still this petition is pending without any progress. Therefore, this petition.

3. Section 125(1) of Cr.P.C. requires the interim maintenance petition to be disposed within a period of 60 days from the date of service of notice of petition to the respondent. Though Crl.M.P.No.519 of 2019 in M.C.No. 481 of 2018 on the file of V Additional Family Court, Chennai is of the year 2019, this petition is not disposed till now.

4. Therefore, this Court directs the V Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose Crl.M.P.No.519 of 2019 in M.C.No. 481 of 2018 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
