This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to settle the gratuity due to the petitioner for the services rendered by him for more than six years (i.e.,) from 17.06.2013 to 26.09.2019 together with computing interest, based on the representation made by the petitioner on 26.09.2019 to the third respondent within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner has made a representation on 26.09.2019 before the third respondent to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to settle the gratuity due to the petitioner for the services rendered by him for the aforesaid period together with computing interest, however, the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the third respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 26.09.2019 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the third respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 26.09.2019 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
