ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the first respondent to extend commercial electricity connection in favour of the petitioner in the name of "Madhu Agencies", at Plot No.D-1/C, First Floor, Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai-600 058 based on the petitioner's application dated 15.02.2022.

2. The petitioner applied for commercial electricity service connection in respect of the aforementioned property. There seems to be dispute between the petitioner, who is the tenant and the second respondent/landlord and only under those circumstances, the petitioner's application has not been processed by the first respondent.

3. Heard Mr.V.Rengasubramanian, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the first respondent if the petitioner's application dated 15.02.2022 is considered on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner as well as 2/4

the second respondent.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 15.02.2022, seeking for grant of commercial electricity service connection in the name of " Madhu Agencies", bearing Plot No.D-1/C, First Floor, Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai-600 058, and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner, including granting him the right of personal hearing within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
