O R D E R

This petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.7 of 2006 on the file of the first respondent registered for the offences under Section 5 of the TNPID Act, as against the petitioners.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that investigation in Crime No.7 of 2006 has been completed and final report has also been filed stating that there is an amount of Rs.2,20,000/- due to the victims by the petitioners. Hence, at this stage this criminal original petition cannot be entertained.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that there is an amount of Rs.2,20,000/- due to the victims and the petitioners are ready to settle the same to the victims. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. It appears that the complaint has been filed under Section 5 of TNPID Act. It is also seen that there is an amount of Rs.2,20,000/- due from the petitioners to the victims. Therefore, it is open to the petitioners to settle the amount to the victims and also to file an appropriate petition before the court concerned to compound the offence after settling the amount.

5. With the above observations, this criminal original petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
