Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the records relating to the detention of the petitioner's Son Ranjith @ Ranjithkumar, Son of Madhu, male, aged 23 years has been detained under Central Act 7 of 1980 as a "Blackmarketeer" vide detention order dated 20.8.2014 on the file of the 4th respondent herein made in S.C.No.13/2014 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the said detenu before this Court and thereafter set him at liberty from the Central Prison,Salem.

O R D E R

The petitioner, who is the son of the detenu, Ranjith @ Ranjithkumar, Son of Madhu, male, aged 23 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 4th respondent dated 20.08.2014 against his father branding him as a "Blackmarketeer" under the Prevention of Black Marketing and Maintenance of Supplies of Essential Commodities Act 1980 [Central Act 7 of 1980].

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 4th respondent as against the father of the petitioner dated 20.08.2014 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.352, dated 01.10.2014 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is dismissed as infructuous. Sd/- Asst.Registrar (J ) /true copy/ Sub Asst.
