ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 387, 323 and 506(i) of IPC in Crime No. 570 of 2021, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. This petitioner herein is a named accused in First Information Report registered based on the complaint given by one Prabhakaran. According to the First Information Report, this petitioner along with one Chandiran had developed acquaintance with the defacto complainant through an online application for Gay sex and after enticing he had come and secured a place at Periyandichi Amman Koil, taken his photographs and started threatening him and extracted money. The co-accused Chandiran was arrested and this petitioner was absconding. Though the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the arrested accused was enlarged on bail, since the offence being committed with an assistance of online application, all the criminal acts of the petitioner have to be ascertained and absconding of the accused will not help the respondent to complete the investigation.

3. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. This Criminal Original Petition is dismissed accordingly.
