This Court vide order dated 05.08.2022, allowed A.No.1707 of 2022, petition filed for condoning the delay of 4245 days in filing the petition to set aside the decree and judgment dated 07.07.2010 passed in C.S.No.607 of 2008, on condition that the applicant shall deposit a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- before this Court within a period of four weeks, failing which, this application shall stand dismissed without further reference to this Court. This matter was ordered to be posted before this Court on 09.09.2022.

This matter is listed for hearing today. When the matter is taken up, the learned counsel for the applicant submitted that as per the order of this Court, a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- was deposited in the Court through Demand Draft No.208638 dated 30.08.2022 drawn at Canara Bank, G.P. Road, Chennai - 600 002. The memo is filed in this regard.

Learned counsel for the respondent submitted that against the order passed in A.No.1707 of 2022, respondent has filed O.S.A.No.240 of 2022 and the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court passed the order on 09.09.2022, granting interim stay of the order passed in A.No.1707 of 2022 for a period of four weeks. A memo is filed in this regard along with the copy of the daily status report, indicating the stay granted for a period of four weeks.
