Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to grant an interim direction directing the 1st respondent to pay subsistence allowance from July'2021 to till the disposal of this writ petition and to pay interest for the arrears of the subsistence allowance from the due date to the date of payment at the rate as this Hon'ble court may fix (in WMP.NO.7096 OF 2022). Order: This miscellaneous petition coming on this day for hearing upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.N.SUBRAMANIYAN, Advocate for the petitioner, the court made the following order:- This Miscellaneous Petition has been filed to grant an interim direction, directing the 1st respondent to pay subsistence allowance from July 2021 to till disposal of this writ petition and to pay https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

interest for the arrears of the subsistence allowance from the due date to the date of payment at the rate as fixed by this Court.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the petitioner was placed under suspension by the 1st respondent/corporation. But the 1st respondent/corporation has not paid the subsistence allowance for the pending enquiry.

3. That being so, liberty is given to the petitioner to make an application to the 1st respondent/corporation for granting subsistence allowance to her, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such application being received from the petitioner, the 1st respondent/corporation is directed to consider the same in accordance with the rules and pass appropriate orders as early as possible, within a period of four weeks, thereafter.
