(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM,J.) The writ petition was instituted in the year 2012, challenging the proceedings of the learned Principal District Judge, Krishnagiri dated 20.12.2012.

The order impugned issued by the learned Principal District Judge reveals that the petitioner was allowed to retire from the service voluntarily. The said order has been stayed by this Court and consequently, the petitioner was allowed to retire from service on 31.05.2019, on attaining the age of superannuation. Therefore, the order accepting the VRS became lapsed. The petitioner has sent a letter to the Registrar General, High Court of Madras dated 16.04.2019 for withdrawal of the writ petition. However, the matter has not been listed. When the matter is listed before this Court, the learned Counsel for the petitioner also made a submission that the petitioner has chosen to withdraw the writ petition.

In view of the above facts, the writ petition stands dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P. is closed. [S.M.S.J.] [K.R.S.J.] 27.03.2024 Index :
