(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.S.N.Parthasarathy, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent nos.1, 3, and 6 and Mr.V.C.Selvasekaran, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent nos.2 and 5.

2.The case of the petitioner is that there is encroachment on the road portion surrounding Arulmigu Bhavani Amman Koil near M.R.Nagar market, by the street vendors. The petitioner sent a representation dated 18.12.2018 addressed to various officials including respondent no.5, the Zonal Officer, Corporation of Chennai, Zone-IV, Tondiarpet, Chennai, in relation to the removal of the said encroachment. The prayer of the petitioner is that the said representation be considered expeditiously. 3.Looking to the fact that the representation is pending since 18.12.2018, the respondent no.5, who is the competent authority, is directed to dispose of the same within twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
