Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to produce the detenu Panneerselvam, S/o.Kaliyamurthy, aged about 58 years, resident of Pillaiyarkoil Street, Thirumoolasthanam, Kattumannarkoil Taluk, Cuddalore District, now confined at Central Prison, Cuddalore as per the order of the preventive detention passed by the second respondent under Act 14 of 1982 before this Court and call for the records pertaining to the detention order of the second respondent in C.3/D.O/20/2020 dated 20.02.2020 and quash the same and set the detenu at liberty.

(Order of the court was made by N.KIRUBAKARAN.J.,) The matter was heard through "Video Conference". 2.The Petitioner challenges the order of detention in C.3/D.O/20/2020 dated 20.02.2020 detaining her brother as "GOONDA", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O. Rt. No.1829, Home, Prohibition ane Excise (XI) Department, dated 21.04.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
