2019-06-20Honourable Mr Justice T.Raja2 pages

C.M.P.No.5596 of 2018 in C.M.A.No.SR21691 of 2018 T.RAJA, J.

M/s Reliance General Insurance Company Limited has suffered an order before the Deputy Commissioner of Labour-II for Workmen's Compensation, Chennai, directing them to pay a sum of Rs.6,70,882/- for the grievous injuries sustained by the injured in the accident, while he was employed with the second respondent employer as Driver of the Maxi Cab van bearing Registration No.TN 20 AJ 2122 on a monthly salary of Rs.15,000/-. Considering the nature of injuries sustained by the first respondent, the Deputy Commissioner of Labour-II for Workmen's Compensation allowed the claim petition awarding the aforementioned amount. Although the award was passed on 2.8.2017, it is not known how the Reliance General Insurance Company Limited, having a panel of counsels to prosecute their cases before various Courts, have kept quiet in this matter. As there is a huge delay, which is unexplained, this Court finds no merits in the prayer. Accordingly, C.M.P.No.5596 of 2018 stands dismissed. 20.06.2019 ss http://www.judis.nic.in
