ORDER

One D.James Peter filed a writ petition in W.P.No.3994 of 2016 before this Court challenging the impugned notice / proceedings of the respondent herein, who is the first respondent in that writ petition, dated 13.1.2016 for cancellation of patta and consequently, to

direct the respondents 1 and 2 in that writ petition not to cancel the patta issued in his name in respect of the lands comprised in Survey Nos.192/3 measuring to an extent of 0.47 cents and survey No.192/4 measuring to an extent of 0.58 cents, totally measuring to an extent of 1.05 acres in Puzhal Village, Madavaram Taluk, Thiruvallur District. This Court, by an order dated 15.3.2016, dismissed the said writ petition and directed the respondent herein to pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. Alleging that the said direction was not complied with, the petitioner, who is the third respondent in the said writ petition, has filed the present contempt petition.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the direction of this Court has been complied with. He has also produced the proceedings of the respondent dated 26.7.2016 in this regard. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has also admitted the same.

3. Since the order of this Court has been complied with, I am of the opinion, nothing survives in
