ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd Respondent to register a First Information Report on the complaint dated 11.06.2016, investigate the same and file a final report before the competent court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. On a reading of the complaint dated 11.06.2016, it is seen that the opposite party had issued some cheques, which when presented, were dishonoured. When the petitioner demanded repayment, they had threatened the petitioner. Based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the petition enquiry is pending in CSR No.269 of 2016 before the second respondent. Since the dispute essentially appears to be civil in nature, no positive direction can be given to the police to register an FIR.
