ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 1st Respondent herein to direct the 2nd Respondent herein to register the case on the basis of the petitioner's representation vide C.No.2276/COP/Visitors/2016 dated 30.05.2016 in accordance with law.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 & 2.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he has issued blank cheque to the opposite party and that, when the opposite party sent the cheque for collection and the same had bounced.

4. On a thorough reading of the complaint, the dispute essentially appears to be civil in nature. Hence, no positive direction can be issued to the respondent police to register an FIR.

In view of the above, the criminal original petition is closed.
