This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking transfer of investigation in Crime No.62 of 2024 pending on the file of the third respondent to any other competent investigation agency.
2. Heard Mr.J.Pradeep, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents.
3. The First Information Report has been registered as a man missing case and this transfer petition has been filed on the ground that no steps have been taken by the respondent police to find out the whereabouts of the missing person.
4. In the considered view of this Court, the First Information Report itself has been registered on 21.02.2024 and some time must be given to the third respondent to investigate the case. If there is no progress in the investigation, it is left open to the petitioner to revive the claim at a later point of time.
