ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.03.2023 and 10.07.2023 relating to the petitioner's promotion along with retirement benefits.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
3. The petitioner had joined in the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board as a contract employee. Thereafter, he was appointed as an Assistant. Thereafter, he was promoted to the post of Wireman on 05.09.2019. According to the petitioner, he would have been promoted as Line Inspector. However, he was not promoted to the post of Line Inspector and as such, the petitioner submitted a representation seeking promotion to the post of Line Inspector.
4. Pending request, the petitioner had attained the age of superannuation and retired from service on 31.05.2023. Thereafter, the petitioner was not settled with any terminal benefits so far. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation and it was also not considered so far.
5. Considering the above facts and circumstances of the case, the respondents are directed to disburse the terminal benefits of the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
