By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner states that he is studying first year B.E. Mechanical Engineering in the first respondent institution which has been approved by A.I.C.T.E. and affiliated to the second respondent Anna University and though he has written his first semester examination, his results have not been published and when he contacted the institution, he was instructed to produce the community certificate. Father of the petitioner has also sent a representation dated 06.04.2015 to the second respondent and since he has not been favoured with any response, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner has invited the attention of this Court to the order dated 06.12.2013 in W.P.No.30897 of 2013 filed by the father of the petitioner and would submit that the writ petition was filed praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent viz., Revenue Divisional Officer, Ranipet, Vellore to issue community certificate to J.Manikandan (petitioner herein) and J.
Premnath as they belong to Hindu Scheduled Tribe Kattunaicken community and the Division Bench of this Court directed the first respondent therein to consider his application for issuance of the community certificate and pass orders within a period of eight weeks and thereafter, the entire records have been submitted to the State Level Scrutiny Committee for appropriate action and consequently, the petitioner is unable to produce the community certificate. However, this Court, without going into the merits of the representation, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 06.04.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
