ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the learned Metropolitan Magistrate No.5, Egmore, Chennai, to expedite the trial and to dispose of the case in C.C.No.446 of 2010.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner herein is the accused in the above case and due to the pendency of this case, great hardship is caused to the petitioner and seeks for early disposal of the case. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that C.C.No.446 of 2010 is pending before the Court below for the offences under Sections 147, 188, 341, 353 of IPC r/w 149 IPC and 7(1)a of CLA 1932. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) further would submit that totally 35 accused are to be examined in this case.

4.It is seen that the C.C.No.446 is of the year 2010. Therefore, there shall be a direction to the learned Metropolitan Magistrate No.5, Egmore, Chennai, to dispose of the C.C.No.446 of 2010 as expeditiously as possible and in any event, not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner as well as the prosecution are directed to cooperate with the Court below in completing the proceedings within the time stipulated by this Court. 5.This criminal original petition is disposed of with the above direction.
