ORDER

The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to appoint the petitioner for the post of 'Noon Meal Assistant' in Kallarpalayam Village, Thiruvannamalai, Thiruvannamalai District.

2.The petitioner along with others was called for interview for appointment to the post of Noon Meal Assistant by the respondent by communication dated 10.12.2010, accordingly, the interview was conducted on 15.12.2010 where the petitioner attended. According to the petitioner, she has successfully completed the interview and she therefore was on hope that, she would be selected and appointed to the post.

3.However, since she was not selected and no communication to that effect has come, she has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

4.When this writ petition is taken up for final hearing, Mrs.K.Bhuvaneswari, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on instruction, would submit that, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

pursuant to the said interview conducted in the year 2010, one Mrs.Pownu, W/o.Thirumalai was selected and appointed as Noon Meal Assistant on 26.02.2011 since then she has been working. 5.In view of the said factor, which has been brought to the notice of this Court, where, one of the applicant who attended the interview along with the petitioner since has been appointed as early as in the year 2011 itself, the question of considering the prayer sought to issue a mandamus to consider the candidature of the petitioner does not arise. 6.In that view of the matter, this Writ Petition fails, hence, it is liable to be dismissed, accordingly it is dismissed. No costs.
