ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to provide fresh electricity service connection to his portion situated at Door No.84, Kamaraj Nagar Main Road, Kamaraj Nagar, Avadi, Chennai - 600 071, based on his representation dated 23.03.2016.

2. Mr.M.Ravi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, submitted that though the petitioner had sought for a direction to provide fresh electricity service connection in the above mentioned premises, it would be suffice to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2016, within a stipulated time. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3 .Mr.Dhilip Kumar, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the first respondent and submitted that the first

respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a stipulated time.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.03.2016, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
