This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report in Crime No.556 of 2022 pending on the file of respondent.
2. Heard Mr.M.Mariappan, learned counsel appearing for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent.
3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number on 29.12.2022, no final report is filed till date.
4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file a final report within a period of three months.
5. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under 2/4
due intimation to the de facto complainant.
With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
