ORDER
When the matter was taken up today, learned counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent, on instructions submitted that though the petitioner has filed the petition to direct the 1st respondent to permit the petitioner to participate in the interview to the post of Assistant Professor-Stage IV(Associate Professor), Central Instrumentation Research and Service Department, University of Madras, Central Instrumentation https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Research and Service Department, University of Madras, to be held on 21.11.2013 or any other subsequent date, however, during the pendency of the writ petition, she has participated in the interview to the said post, was selected and appointed as Assistant Professor-Stage IV(Associate Professor), and subsequently promoted as Head of Department and retired from service after attaining the age of superannuation. Hence nothing survives for further adjudication in this case. 2.In the above circumstances, recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the second respondent, nothing survives for further adjudication and, accordingly, this writ petition is closed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
