1620 of 2020 is sought to be assailed in the present writ appeals.
2. The appellant before this court is the Resident's Association. They were not party respondent in the writ proceedings. Since leave was granted by this court, the appellants preferred the present writ appeal.
3. The writ order impugned reveals that the respondents 1 and 2 filed a writ petition seeking a direction to survey and identify the petitioner's property situated at Plot Nos.146 & 147, Thanthai Periyar Nagar Part II, Taramani, Chennai - 600 113. The writ petition was heard, and the learned Single Judge recorded the statement of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Slum Clearance Board (Urban Habitat Development Board) and the statement shows that there is no dispute regarding the fact that the subject plots were allotted to the respective first respondents in writ appeals.
4. Based on the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel for the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, the writ court issued a direction to conduct a survey and identify the land allotted in favour of the first
respondent in the respective appeals, namely Plot Nos.146 & 147, Thanthai Periyar Nagar Part II, Taramani, Chennai - 600 113.
5. Since the writ petitions have been instituted seeking a direction to survey the plots allotted by the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board in favour of the first respondent in the respective appeals, the writ appellant, being a Resident's Association, has no locus to question the allotment or the relief granted by the writ court to survey and identify allotted plots. Consequently, the writ appeals are dismissed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
