ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to reinstate the petitioner with continuity of service and all other attendant benefits and to pay the arrears of the backwages, pursuant to the order of the Learned Special Joint Commissioner of Labour Chennai, in Approval Petition No.151 of 2023 dated 14.03.2025 and erratum dated 14.05.2025 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner joined the respondent Corporation as a Driver in 1995. On 11.06.2013, the respondent Corporation issued a charge memo alleging that the petitioner had secured employment by submitting a fake certificate. Subsequently, the respondent Corporation passed a final order on 20.09.2023, dismissing the petitioner from service and filed an approval petition in A.P.No.151 of 2023 before the Joint Commissioner of Labour, Chennai. However, the Commissioner passed an order dated 14.03.2025 and erratum dated 14.05.2025 refusing to grant approval for the said dismissal. Despite this, the respondent Corporation has failed to implement the order and reinstate the petitioner with continuity of service and all other attendant benefits. Thereafter, the petitioner has made a representation dated 23.05.2025 and the respondents have not considered the said representation. Aggrieved by the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court directs the respondents to reinstate the petitioner with continuity of service and all other attendant benefits and to pay the arrears of the backwages, pursuant to the order of the Learned Special Joint Commissioner of Labour Chennai.
4. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

In view of the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to reinstate the petitioner with continuity of service and all other attendant benefits and to pay the arrears of the backwages, pursuant to the order of the Learned Special Joint Commissioner of Labour, Chennai, in Approval Petition No.151 of 2023 dated 14.03.2025 and erratum dated 14.05.2025. This direction shall be implemented within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided there is no legal impediment.
6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
