ORDER

The petitioner, alleging non-compliance of the order passed in WP.No.33531/2015 dated 16.10.2015, came forward to file the present contempt petition.

It is represented by the learned Government Advocate that in compliance of the order of this Court, which is the subject matter of contempt, the District Educational Officer, Ponneri, vide proceedings dated 15.05.2017 in Na.Ka.No.3901/A3/2015 has rejected the request made by the petitioner and it is put to challenge in WP.No.4342/2018.

Heard the submission of learned counsel for the petitioner who prayed that the contempt petition may be tagged along with WP.No.4342/2018.

The petitioner, in the said writ petition prayed for quashment of the records of the said official dated 15.05.2017 with a consequential direction, directing them to pay the arrears of retirement benefits and pension benefits together with interest for delayed payment and in the light of the said development, nothing remains for further adjudication in this contempt petition and therefore, the contempt petition is closed, granting liberty to the petitioner to work out her remedy in the said writ petition.

Since the petitioner is aged about 62 years, the Registry is directed to expedite the final disposal of

WP.No.4342/2018.

In the result, the contempt petition is closed with the above observations.
